Today we are talking about series crossovers! For Day 16 of the Geek Out Challenge we will be discussing what kind of geeky crossover would you like to see. Television crossovers have been around for a few decades now, with notable examples being The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones or Scooby-Doo Meets Batman and Robin(one of my childhood favorites). I wrote down a few crossovers that came to mind over the course of the day; beginning by excluding series along the likes of the Super Smash Bros. games or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What crossover would you like to see? – After thinking about it, I came up with what I think would be a really cool series crossover – Supernatural Meets Stranger Things. The story could revolve around Sam and Dean Winchester hearing stories of monsters terrorizing the small town of Hawkins, Indiana with most information being covered up by a mysterious lab. They would then meet up with Mike, Will, Lucas, Dusty, and Eleven as they try to discover the truth of what’s really going on. Both shows have the ability to switch gears from horror to humor instantly, as Supernatural has been a show not afraid to experiment, like the episode – Changing Channels where Sam and Dean find themselves stuck in a cycle of 80’s sitcoms and soap operas. If something like Supernatural/Stranger Things crossover would exist, the most entertaining scenes would have to be anything with Dean, Dusty and Steve…I think so anyways 🙂

Another crossover that currently exists but haven’t seen yet is Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The movie was released a few months ago and follows Batman as he teams up with the Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello after the Shredder forms an alliance with Ra’s al Ghul and the League of Assassins. I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet, but is certainly something I would watch as it involves the two franchises I have loved since I was a little kid.
That’s it for today! What crossovers would you like to see in tv, movies, or games? Let me know in the comments below. We’re over half way through the Geek Out Challenge and I’m gonna keep this momentum going! See you tomorrow…
